ZWO's ASI991MM Pro is a specialized short-wave infrared (SWIR) cooled monochrome camera featuring Sony's IMX991 InGaAs sensor with exceptional sensitivity across the 0.4-1.7 micrometers spectral range. With an 80% peak quantum efficiency at 1200nm, 5-micrometer pixels, and low readout noise comparable to traditional CCD SWIR cameras, it enables high-definition imaging through clouds, fog, and even during daylight. The integrated two-stage TEC cooling system reduces sensor temperature by 30-35 degrees Celsius below ambient, suppressing dark current generation for clean long-exposure imaging ideal for SWIR astronomy, photometric measurement, optical communication, and scientific spectroscopy.
