The QHY5III585C is an enhanced generation of QHY5III V2 series planetary guide camera with improved dynamic range performance and high sensitivity in the near infrared. It features a 1/1.2-inch large sensor with Sony IMX585 BSI Starvis II technology and zero amp glow, delivering approximately 1.7 times higher near-infrared sensitivity compared to the previous IMX485. Equipped with a 512MB DDR3 image buffer, the camera effectively reduces computer transmission pressure during the rapid data capture required for planetary photography. It supports frame rates of 41.5 FPS at 8-bit or 23.5 FPS at 16-bit full resolution, with USB3.2 Gen1 Type-C connectivity and ST-4 compatible guiding interface.
