The QHY5III715C is an ultra-high resolution back-illuminated color planetary camera featuring the Sony IMX715 sensor with remarkably low read noise, ensuring clean and detailed images. With 8.4 megapixels and 1.45-micron pixels, this compact camera delivers exceptional resolution ideal for lunar, planetary, and guiding applications with smaller telescopes. Enhanced near-infrared sensitivity allows photons of longer wavelengths to penetrate deeper into the substrate, with the sensor displaying almost equal peak sensitivity to NIR light as to visible spectrum light. The Ver. 2 design includes a 512MB DDR3 image buffer for rapid data processing and USB3.2 type-C interface for power and connectivity.
