This monochrome, cooled camera features a 4/3" 11.7MP Sony IMX492 sensor capable of true 4K resolution, ultra-low 1.2e read noise, and an exceptional 90% quantum efficiency. It's configured to operate the sensor in a 'Bin2' mode that delivers an effective pixel size of 4.63 microns and an effective resolution of 11.7 megapixels (4144 x 2822). With a 66,387e full well capacity and dual-stage TEC cooling down to -35–40°C below ambient, it captures incredibly clean, detailed images, even during long exposures. In Bin1 mode, pixels have a 66000e full well capacity, and the camera achieves switchable operation with 2.3 micron pixels. Ideal for high-resolution deep-sky, lunar, and planetary imaging with narrowband filters.
