The ZWO ASI294MC Pro is a high-resolution cooled color astronomy camera equipped with a Sony IMX294 CMOS sensor achieving 11.7MP resolution with low read noise. The two-stage thermoelectric cooler lowers the sensor temperature by 95°F below ambient, dramatically reducing dark current noise for clean images even with very long exposures. With USB3.0 connectivity providing 5Gb bandwidth, the camera runs at 16FPS in 14-bit mode or 19FPS in 12-bit high-speed mode at full resolution. Equipped with Sony's CMOS IMX294CJK Micro-4/3 format sensor, this was the first in-house sensor in this format for astronomy cameras, making it ideal for both deep-sky and planetary/lunar astrophotography.
