The QHY5III462C uses the latest (6th Generation) Sony 2.1 MP IMX462 CMOS sensor, offering exceptional performance for planetary and guiding applications. This camera can image in visible light only, NIR light only, or combined visible and NIR, with sensitivity at methane (880 nm) comparable to visible wavelengths. The back-illuminated sensor features sHGC technology for extremely low read noise (less than one electron) at high gain, making it ideal for stacking hundreds or thousands of short planetary images. The camera includes two 1.25-inch filters for versatile imaging in both color and near-infrared modes.
