The Omegon Pro veLOX 224 is a high-speed camera ideally suited for planetary, lunar, and solar astrophotography, and also serves as an autoguider. Leveraging a high framerate to freeze atmospheric turbulences, this 'lucky imaging' technique is effortlessly achieved through sophisticated electronics and the high bandwidth of the camera's USB 3.0. The Omegon Pro color cameras are equipped with an infrared-blocking filter, as modern CMOS sensors are sensitive to infrared light, making correct color representation in the final image only possible by removing these wavelengths before capture. The camera features C- & CS-Mount threads, or a standard 1.25" filter thread via an adapter, facilitating seamless attachment of various accessories, from CCTV lenses to astronomical filters.
