iCam 178M

The iOptron iCam 178M is a monochrome CMOS camera utilizing the Sony IMX178 sensor with a 1/1.8" imaging area, 2.4 µm pixel size, and 6.4 MP resolution. The high sensitivity makes it ideal for planetary imaging, while very low readout noise as low as 1.34e at a gain of 350 enables excellent performance in challenging conditions. The HCG (High Conversion Gain) mode automatically activates when gain exceeds 30, greatly reducing readout noise while maintaining dynamic range, and Dead Pixel Suppression technology eliminates abnormal pixels by analyzing dark frames.
