16-Inch f/8 Ritchey Chretien Reflecting OTA Telescope

The iOptron Photron 16-inch f/8 Ritchey-Chretien truss tube delivers sharp, clear images from edge to edge using low thermal expansion quartz primary and secondary mirrors with highly reflective dielectric coatings, and produces images free of coma and chromatic aberrations—ideal for both color and monochrome astrophotography. The fixed position primary mirror eliminates image shift that occurs when focusing in other telescope designs. The carbon fiber truss structure provides both signature aesthetics and serious functionality, with the open design promoting rapid cooling and excellent rigidity to maintain focus retention and collimation even with heavy imaging trains and long exposures. The telescope features a 3-inch dual-speed linear bearing Crayford focuser and three rear-mounted cooling fans powered by an included battery pack to bring the optics to ambient temperature quickly for sharper imaging.
