CGEM II 800 EdgeHD

The CGEM II 800 EdgeHD combines Celestron's computerized CGEM II equatorial mount with its acclaimed EdgeHD optical system, delivering over 800 times the light gathering power of the unaided eye and portability in its class. EdgeHD is an aplanatic, flat-field Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope that produces aberration-free images across a wide visual and photographic field of view, with an astrograph-quality flat focal plane extending to the field's edge. The CGEM II mount features Celestron's All-Star polar alignment procedure and Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PEC) for precise tracking and long-exposure astrophotography. The versatile design accommodates three focal ratios: native f/10, f/7 with a focal reducer, or ultra-fast f/2 imaging with optional Fastar accessories.
