The Baader HDT62/72 is a precision threaded adapter that steps up from M62 to M72 filter threads, designed as part of the Baader Hyperion Digital T-Ring system for afocal projection astrophotography. This adapter enables rigid, direct threaded coupling of larger DSLR cameras and CCD imagers to Baader Hyperion eyepieces (Mark II and earlier models), providing the shortest possible optical path while eliminating vignetting. Used in combination with the HDT54/62 ring, it accommodates cameras with 67-77mm filter threads, with rigid mechanical connection superior to traditional projection systems.
