HAE43EC Strain Wave AZ/EQ Mount w/ iPolar & High Precision Encoder

The iOptron HAE43EC is a lightweight AZ/EQ dual mount that uses advanced strain wave gear technology for both RA and DEC movement, delivering unparalleled weight-to-payload efficiency. With a payload capacity of 20 kg (44 lbs) and mount weight of 5.8 kg (12.8 lbs), the HAE43EC features a high precision RA axis encoder that delivers incredible tracking accuracy, enabling many astrophotographers to image without guide stars. The mount includes real-time periodic error correction (RPEC), a Go2Nova hand controller with ~212,000 object database, iPolar electronic polar scope, unique friction brake for power interruptions, and an aluminum carrying case. It operates in either equatorial mode for long-exposure deep-sky imaging or alt-azimuth mode for visual astronomy and planetary imaging without requiring polar alignment.
