Advanced VX Mount and Tripod

The Advanced VX is Celestron's smallest German equatorial mount, setting a standard in mid-level telescopes by providing many features found on their most sophisticated mounts while featuring All-Star Polar Alignment, Celestron PWI telescope control software, and permanently programmable periodic error correction (PPEC). The computerized GoTo capability automatically tracks objects as they move across the night sky, making it ideal for both visual astronomy and astrophotography with telescopes up to the 30 lb payload limit. The mount features a 2" diameter steel tripod legs providing an extra-wide stance for improved stability, and its portable design makes it excellent for taking to dark sky sites while maintaining the rigidity of larger observatory-class mounts.
