NBZ-II Dual Band Nebula Boost Filter

The IDAS NBZ-II is a new dual band nebula booster filter - the successor to the NBZ filter. With an 8nm bandpass at OIII and 10nm bandpass at H-alpha, this narrowband filter is optimized for deep-sky imaging of emission nebulae with both monochrome and one-shot color cameras. Unlike competitive 7nm or narrower filters that lose 50% or more transmittance in fast optical systems around f/2, the NBZ-II retains 80% or more transmittance under the same conditions and can be used in systems as fast as f/1.9. This filter has the same anti-Haloing characteristics as the NBZ, making it an excellent choice for wide-field and fast-optics astrophotography.
