The IDAS GNB is a world's first galaxy and nebula booster filter intended for shooting not only nebulae, but also galaxies by the use of transmittance around the near infrared region. The filter passes through the Ha and OIII regions in the same manner as the IDAS NBZ to suppress light pollution in visible light regions, while uniquely passing through the near infrared region intended for shooting galaxies that cannot be shot with conventional nebula filters. The near-infrared transmission band spans approximately 100 nanometers, ranging from 800 to 900 nanometers, making it ideal for both emission nebula and galaxy imaging from light-polluted skies when paired with infrared-sensitive camera sensors.
