The motor attaches directly to the pinion shaft rather than the reduction assembly, eliminating slip and ensuring precise repeatability while supporting payloads exceeding 56 pounds. With step resolutions as fine as 2.3 microns per step (11,400 steps per inch) in standard configuration, it delivers the extreme fine focus resolution critical for professional astrophotography and deep sky imaging. The system features a manual fine focus override for precise control and includes temperature compensation via an integrated thermistor on the motor circuit board.
