The ZWO ASI174MM is a sensitive and state-of-the-art monochrome astronomy camera with 2.35 megapixel resolution and 1936x1216 resolution with 5.86 μm pixel size, ideal for high-resolution imaging of the Moon, Sun (with proper solar filter), and planets, as well as brighter deep-sky objects. Built with an attractive red anodized CNC aluminum body and weighing only 120 g, the camera supports fast USB 3.0 transfer at up to 164 fps at maximum 1936x1216 resolution. It features Sony's Pregius Global Shutter function which improves image quality by ensuring images of moving objects avoid focal plane distortion, especially helpful when performing solar or lunar imaging. With a quantum efficiency of 78%, the advanced sensor incorporates Sony's Exmor technology for high-speed processing, low noise, and low power dissipation.
