Advanced VX 6" Refractor

This 6-inch f/8 refractor offers no obstruction of the aperture and provides the highest possible contrast when viewing celestial objects, especially planets. The computerized GoTo capability on the Advanced VX mount automatically tracks objects as they move across the night sky, making it suitable for both visual observation and planetary imaging. The mount features a 2-inch diameter steel tripod with extra-wide stance for improved stability, while the 51-inch long aluminum optical tube weighs only 19 lb (8.6 kg), making it easy to transport and assemble in the field. At a focal ratio of f/8, the telescope is optimized for high-contrast planetary viewing and pairs well with CCD imaging cameras for bright deep-sky objects.
