The Celestron Omni XLT 150 is a 6-inch aperture f/5 Newtonian reflector equipped with StarBright XLT multicoated mirrors, mounted on a sturdy CG-4 German equatorial mount. Using aspheric shaping technology in conjunction with hand-figuring the optics, the Omni XLT presents an image with virtually no spherical aberration. The fast focal ratio and wide field of view make it especially suited as a rich-field telescope for sweeping the Milky Way and observing large star clusters, and under dark skies, you can also observe dark nebulae in the summer Milky Way. This is a good choice for beginners who want a quality, medium-aperture telescope that isn't a Dobsonian or a tabletop scope.
