The Apertura 8" f/4 Imaging Newtonian OTA is a fast, lightweight reflector optimized for wide-field astrophotography with its 800mm focal length and f/4 focal ratio enabling rapid photon collection for deep-sky imaging. Built with diffraction-limited parabolic optics, a rolled steel tube, and featuring a dual-speed 2" Crayford focuser with linear bearings, this OTA delivers sharp high-contrast views while maintaining portability at just 18 lbs. The integrated cooling fan accelerates thermal equilibration for faster imaging sessions, and tool-free collimation knobs simplify setup in the field. Ideal for DSLR and dedicated astronomy camera imaging of extended nebulae and galaxies, the scope includes tube rings with Vixen-style dovetail, 50mm finderscope bracket, and covers mounting to a wide variety of equatorial mounts.
