CGX-L 1100 Schmidt-Cassegrain

The Celestron CGX-L Equatorial 1100 is a complete observational platform that includes an 11-inch aperture optical tube assembly, NexStar+ computerized hand controller, motorized equatorial mount and tripod for observing the Moon, planets, and deep-sky subjects like nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters. Designed for backyard observatories and remote imagers, the CGX-L mount features larger 144mm diameter worm wheels which provide smoother operation and can more accurately drive heavier loads, with a longer 270mm dovetail saddle to support larger optical tubes. The 24-inch long aluminum optical tube weighs only 27.5 pounds, making it easy to install on the mount. The proprietary StarBright XLT optical coatings dramatically increase transmission, up to 97.4% on the Schmidt corrector lenses.
