The Dew-Not DN004 is a 13-inch dew heater strip designed for 3-inch telescopes, finderscopes, and small guide scopes. This thick-film heating element operates at 12 volts and uses an efficient design with 60-66% of surface area dedicated to heat emission, preventing dew condensation without creating localized hot spots. The strip comes with a 6-foot cord terminated in a standard RCA phono-plug connector compatible with most dew controllers, and features velcro closures for secure attachment to optics. Made in the USA with over 30 patents, it offers superior power efficiency compared to competing heater designs, making it ideal for field astrophotography where battery power is limited.
