The Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro is a computerized equatorial telescope mount with GoTo capabilities that provides precise, accurate tracking of the night sky and is suitable for long-exposure astrophotography. Using stepper motors with a 1.8° step angle and 64 micro steps driven, it provides accuracy up to 1 arc minute while remaining whisper quiet. Belt drives provide minimal backlash and significantly reduced periodic error while remaining whisper quiet, with stepper motors having no internal gear box to further reduce backlash. The mount provides a user-friendly interface with automatic slewing to over 42,000+ objects in the night sky via the proprietary SynScan hand controller.
