The iOptron HAE18C is a dual-mode mount designed for both alt-azimuth and equatorial configurations, employing advanced strain wave gear technology on both axes for precise and reliable tracking. Despite weighing only 6.2 pounds, it supports up to 18.7 pounds of equipment without a counterweight and up to 26 pounds with an optional counterweight system. The mount includes built-in Wi-Fi for seamless operation via smartphones, tablets, or computers, compatible with ASCOM/Commander for Windows, INDI drivers for MacOS, and iOptron's Commander Lite app. Its periodic error is kept below ±18 arcseconds, enhancing performance for long-exposure astrophotography.
