The Spectrum 7.5" Full Aperture Film Solar Filter provides safe, full-aperture solar observation and imaging for telescopes with outer diameters from 181mm to 187mm. This premium thin-film polymer filter blocks 99.999% of the Sun's visible light (ND 5 rating) using a durable 0.002" thick black plastic polymer substrate with absorptive filtering material, allowing the Sun to appear in natural yellowish-orange tones rather than harsh white light. The single-layer design is resistant to minor warps or wrinkles that do not affect image quality, making it an excellent budget-friendly option for safe solar viewing compared to glass alternatives.
