The Spectrum 6" Full Aperture Film Solar Filter is a safe, durable thin polymer solar filter designed for direct white-light solar viewing and imaging. This filter provides maximum light transmission through the telescope's full aperture, allowing optimal daytime viewing with minimal atmospheric turbulence. Constructed from 0.002" thick black polymer with absorptive filtering material throughout, it blocks 99.999% of the Sun's visible light (ND5 neutral density filter) while producing natural yellowish-orange solar images. The filter mounts in a 6" aluminum cell with nylon thumb screws for secure attachment to telescope tubes.
