This premium full aperture thin film solar filter provides safe white-light solar viewing and imaging for telescopes and optical instruments with 51-57mm outer diameter tubes. The ND 5 filter blocks 99.999% of the sun's visible light, allowing comfortable observation of sunspots and solar features with a natural yellowish-orange appearance. Constructed with durable 0.002" thick black plastic polymer film in a single-layer design, the filter resists damage from minor warps or wrinkles and is suitable for refractors, spotting scopes, and binoculars.
