This premium full aperture thin film solar filter pair enables safe direct solar viewing through binoculars, blocking 99.999% of the Sun's visible light as an ND 5 filter. The durable 0.002-inch thick black plastic polymer substrate features single-layer absorptive filtering that renders the Sun in a natural yellowish-orange color, while minor film warps or wrinkles do not affect image quality. Designed for binocular objective tubes with outside diameters between 73-79mm, these filters come mounted in aluminum cells with nylon thumb screws for secure attachment and include foam-lined protective storage packaging.
