The SVBONY SV240 is a multi-narrowband filter designed for urban astrophotography, isolating Ha, OIII, and H-Beta emissions from background light pollution while being ideal for astronomers using color cameras who prefer not to switch to monochrome setups. Unlike typical dual-band filters with 7nm bandgaps, it features 24nm for OIII, 20nm for Ha, and 115nm in the near-infrared region. The filter improves image signal-to-noise ratio and contrast by capturing signal in visible bands and near-infrared regions while maintaining good color balance and ease of post-processing. It is suitable for photographing galaxies, reflection nebulae, emission nebulae, star clusters, and other deep-sky objects.
