The Baader Gen II Calcium K-Line Filter is a single-element narrowband solar imaging filter that reveals fine chromospheric details of the sun at the calcium K-line wavelength. Unlike its double-stacked predecessor, modern coatings enable superior performance from this compact unstacked design, ideal for high-resolution solar photography with CMOS and monochrome cameras. The filter must be used with an additional solar pre-filter (included AstroSolar film provided) and is strictly for imaging only, as the near-UV wavelength is dangerous for visual observation.
