The Astronomik SII 12nm CCD MaxFR Clip-Filter is a premium narrowband emission-line filter specifically designed for capturing sulfur-II wavelengths in deep-sky nebula imaging. With its MaxFR coating optimized for fast optical systems and 12nm full-width-half-maximum passband, this filter clips directly into Sony Alpha 7 camera bodies (including MkI, MkII, and MkIII variants of 7, 7R, 7R IV, and 7S models) to isolate sulfur-II emission at 671.7-673nm while blocking all undesired light pollution and infrared radiation. Ideal for planetary nebulae and supernova remnants, this German-engineered filter enables astrophotographers to create high-contrast Hubble-palette false-color images even from light-polluted suburban locations.
