The Astronomik SII 12nm CCD MaxFR Clip-Filter is a narrowband emission-line filter optimized for imaging sulfur (SII) emission nebulae with Nikon full-frame cameras. Featuring the advanced MaxFR coating technology, this filter delivers exceptional performance with fast optical systems (f/1.7 to f/8), achieving at least 85% transmission at f/1.8 and 85% transmission even at f/1.4. The 12nm passband isolates the SII doublet at 671.7-673.0nm while blocking light pollution from sodium and mercury vapor lamps, making it ideal for both light-polluted urban skies and dark-sky sites, and enables creation of Hubble Space Telescope-like Hubble Palette images when combined with H-alpha and OIII filters.
