The Astronomik H-alpha 6nm narrowband filter is ideal for imaging faint objects in star-crowded regions of the milky way, as it typically halves the number of stars in the image and is suitable for cameras with very low dark current or extreme light pollution sites. The MaxFR coating enables unlimited usability from f/2.2 to f/6 with approximately 90% of the maximum transmission at f/2. The MaxFR coating provides the best out-of-band blocking over the entire wavelength range from UV to IR, extremely high contrast, minimized stray light, no halos and needle-sharp stars.
