The Optolong LRGB Filter Set is a four-filter mounted set designed specifically for monochrome CCD and CMOS astrophotography, consisting of Luminance, Red, Green, and Blue filters that divide the spectrum into its key components for accurate color imaging. With optimized transmission curves featuring 95% passband transmission and infrared blocking from 700-1100nm, these filters eliminate the need for a separate IR-cut filter and provide maximum contrast in both deep-sky and planetary imaging. The set features a strategically designed gap between green and red filters to block sodium light pollution at 589nm while allowing OIII emission to overlap naturally on blue and green channels, ensuring superior color balance and natural color reproduction in light-polluted skies.
