The Lunt 2" Polarizing Filter (model PF-1) is designed to thread into 2" eyepieces and work with the Lunt LS2HW Solar Wedge to control image brightness during white light solar observation. The filter allows rotation of the eyepiece to adjust solar image brightness to comfortable viewing levels when used with refractors up to 150mm aperture. Beyond solar work, it can also enhance lunar and planetary contrast during nighttime observing. Note that this polarizing filter must be used in conjunction with the Solar Wedge's internal Neutral Density filter for safe solar observation and should never be installed in the Solar Wedge's nosepiece itself.
