The ZWO EFW-5x2 is a compact, motorized electronic filter wheel designed for automated filter selection during astronomical imaging. It holds up to five 2-inch threaded or 50.4mm unmounted filters, enabling seamless switching between LRGB or narrowband filter sets for monochrome and color astrophotography. Weighing just 500g and measuring 20mm in thickness, the wheel features an aircraft-grade aluminum body with a precision stepper motor from NPM Japan, delivering quiet, bidirectional rotation with minimal vibration. It integrates directly with ZWO cameras and supports ASCOM and SDK control, allowing hands-free automated filter changes via popular imaging software.
